The hair used by Socap original for hair extensions comes from India and is 100% natural. The choice of using Indian hair has resulted from the fact that European and Chinese hair is unfit for the type of application required.
European hair, mostly coming from northern countries, is very thin and fragile and it has often already undergone chemical processes such as bleaching, pressing or perms. Chinese hair is too thick and therefore it is not compatible with our hair and is unfit for hair extensions.
Finally there is Indian hair of which there are 2 kinds offered on the market. One comes from the collection of hair remaining in brushes, and it is obvious that it will include hair of different quality, length thickness and color.
Furthermore the scales, representing the basic structure of the hair will be inevitably ranged in different directions. Therefore in order for this hair to be employed it has to undergo an aggressive chemical process which destroys the cuticle and leaves the hair fragile and dull.
The other comes instead from women donating their hair during Hindu rituals in temples. In this case the locks are tied before being cut, this way the hair will include locks of one kind and color.
The scales of this cuticle will also be arranged in one direction from the root to the tip. This is the kind of hair that we import and once it is in or laboratories, we process with the natural Remy's hair system. It is an exclusive system which respects the nature of the hair, keeping it’s characteristics unchanged in time.
